Interns will be scheduled to work with producers to assist in the planning, promotion and presentation of the festival and its events. This may include flyering, postering, ushering, box office and hospitality along with many other tasks.
Festival interns will have full access to festival shows and events. Interns will be given one class credit with the DSI Comedy Training Center in the current year. Internships will be made available to people both living in the Triangle Area and to those traveling to the festival from out of town.
The festival staff, which also works on a volunteer basis, will provide you with the training you need to help with the associated tasks. There will be scheduled meetings leading up to and throughout the festival.
If you wish to apply to be an intern, send an email to festival@nccomedyarts.com with some background information on yourself, explain why you feel you would make an "AWESOME" festival intern, and also tell us why you feel the continued success of the NC Comedy Arts Festival is important for the community and explain why you believe in the culture of improvisation or at least the notion "Support Your Local Comedy" — Thanks!
If you do not wish to be a dedicated intern, but would still like to help, please email festival@nccomedyarts.com and we can talk about available opportunities.
