NC Comedy Arts Festival, est. 2001

Over a crazy weekend in 2001, three college improv teams and a comedy duo from Chicago kicked off what would later be known as #NCCAF. That weekend of improv grew over the course of almost two decades to become one of the largest independent comedy events in the country, showcasing improv, sketch and standup comedy acts from all across North America in the heart of North Carolina (Chapel Hill and Carrboro) every February. Thank you to all the improvisers, comics, writers, sketch actors, instructors, students, staff, volunteers and comedy fans who played and laughed alongside us for the last 17 years. NCCAF will not be produced in February 2018, but no fear, there are plenty of incredible comedy events in the Southeast.
