Commonwealth performs Das Boot: A single suggestion sends seven improvisers whirling around the stage combining the fast paced energy of a buck wild horse with the stillness of a monk’s inner soul creating the controlled chaos known as Das Boot.

Das Boot explores the idea that life is always in movement, yet all life must come from stillness. From this idea, the players ferociously create a series of scenes, constantly shifting from frozen to unfrozen, ultimately inventing an aesthetic, yet head spinning stage picture built on truthful emotions and surprising, comedic moments. Das Boot is the manipulation of energy and group mind on stage as you’ve never witnessed it before.
