John Boni

John Boni was a Broadway actor and singer before he started writing comed. He's written for Alan King, David Steinberg, Flip Wilson and other comics, as well as for variety shows like “The Cher Show,” “Captain and Tennille” and “The Cirque du Soleil Variety Hour” for Canada’s Bravo network.

He was a writer/producer for “Three’s Company,” “Facts Of Life” and “227” and co-created “When Things Were Rotten,” with Mel Brooks for ABC. He also was the head writer for “Fernwood 2Night” starring Martin Mull and Fred Willard.

He began doing standup a few years ago when he “semi-retired” in Durham. He can also be seen acting in local theatrical companies like the “Deep Dish Theater” and the Carboro Arts Center.
