Danny Rolando, 37, kicked off his standup comedy career at the DC Improv in January 2007 and his shrewd perceptions about what it’s like to be Latino in America have been earning him great reviews and steady bookings throughout the greater Washington, DC-area ever since.
Whether talking about how little he can do to get by at work or in the world of dating, Peruvian-born Rolando’s accurate observations about all the unspoken rules of life nabbed him first place at The 2009 Battle of the Bones Comedy Show at SmokeyBones in Virginia and second place in Bailey’s Last Comic Standing Contest.
While performing regularly throughout the DC-area, Rolando has opened for a number of up-and-coming comics including LA’s T. Rexx and Cisco and DC’s Big Al Goodwin, Rob Maher and Tony Woods and has hosted a comedy showcase at The Irish Channel in Gambrills, MD.

In addition to winning first place in the 2009 Battle of the Bones Comedy Show at SmokeyBones in Virginia and second place in Bailey’s Last Comic Standing Contest, he has featured at The Baltimore Comedy Factory, The Baltimore Annual ArtScape, The Arlington and Silver Spring Draft Houses, The Riot at the Hyatt and the DC Improv Comedy Lounge.
