Karl Hess – The Authorized Biographical Blurb

Shortly after graduating from USC, Karl exploded onto the Los Angeles stand-up scene with the force of at least, like, twenty-three M-80s. Possibly more. Definitely more than twenty though. Performing relentlessly, he quickly made a name for himself as one of the best young comics on the scene, and he is now a regular at some of the best shows in the city. He has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in comedy such as Janeane Garofalo, Drew Carey, Jamie Kennedy, Greg Fitzsimmons, Marc Maron and more

In addition, Karl also produces and hosts his own show twice a month, The Sunday Sunday Sunday Show, which has become very popular with some of the best comedy talent in Los Angeles. Karl’s show has featured such extremely talented comedians as Jackie Kashian (Comedy Central Presents, HBO, Last Comic Standing), KT Tatara (Comics Unleashed, Comedy Central, Showtime), Ben Gleib (Chelsea Lately, Spike TV), Hugh Moore (Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, Live at Gotham) as well as numerous others.

Karl Hess is an exciting young talent, and at 25 years of age, his future in comedy looks bright. Like that song, where the guy has a bright future, so he needs sunglasses. You know what I'm talking about. At a stand-up competition at USC, which was judged by comedy stars Russell Peters and Jeffrey Ross, Ross called Karl’s material “original and brave.” Smart, playful, creative and witty, Karl Hess continues to excel in doing what he loves and building his reputation as one of the best young comedians in Los Angeles. He also has a pretty solid Afro.
