For 6 years The Basement Theatre in Atlanta has been producing exciting improv. They have created over a dozen formats which have been performed across the country.

Their shows include MUCH ADO ABOUT IMPROV, BLENDER, JAILER, BEAT IT, JC SUPERSTAR and MOTEL. They always strive to push the theatrical side of improv creating play like shows that leave many audiences asking "how much of it was scripted?" The answer to that is NONE. The Basement is pure improv!

Begun by Jstar in 2004, The Basement has grown over the years to include classes, workshops and shows, as well as an outreach program that performs at The Children's Hospital of Atlanta and the recently created Shenanigans (improv for special teens). The Basement Theatre's mission is to provide laughter, learning, entertainment and enlightenment through spontaneous improvisational theatre to audiences in Atlanta and throughout the world, with a strong commitment to the community.
