BUST is a fast-paced, character-driven long form improv creation featuring Emily Tamblyn and Jaime Landolfi. The piece is inspired by a single audience suggestion and utilizes character monologues and relationship-based scenes to explore the dysfunction of everyday life.
The strength of the show stems from the chemistry between the players. Jaime and Emily have been improvising together for 4 years and regularly use their familiarity to push and challenge each other on stage. The result is a fearless playfulness rarely achieved in improv comedy.
To quote an audience member, BUST is “two fabulous hotties dropping some funny shit on your face.”
BUST debuted at the iO Theatre Chicago in June 2007 for 6 week run. BUST has since played at several venues in the city including the StudioBE, Playground and Chemically Imbalanced Comedy Theatres and Ginger’s Alehouse. In 2008, BUST took Canada by storm, performing twice for the Toronto Improv Festival. BUST had its debut with the NC Comedy Arts Festival in 2009.
