Overcoming Everywhere

Angel Yau is from the tough streets of Queens, NY, where she works as a filmmaker. Her first time doing comedy was when she ran for her high school election. She wrote a song with words that rhyme with her last name. Angel transforms her personal stories into sketches that blend in a sense of self that's both endearing and utterly exposed. Her brain pattern slowly engages you as awkwardness turns into charm and charm turns into madness and then back into awkwardness.

Her performances have been a part of the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, Seattle Sketchfest, NYC Underground Comedy Festival, Calgary Funnyfest, Philly Sketchfest and more! (Hopefully.) She currently jokes around NYC in shows such as “Mortified!” and theatres such as Upright Citizens Brigade. Her fears are losing her memory and owls.
